Miss Ohio Alice Magoto wins the swimsuit competition during Miss America preliminary competition Watch video ATLANTIC CITY, NJ-- Miss Ohio Alice Magoto walked away with a $1,000 scholarship with her win in the Miss America Lifestyle and Fitness Swimsuit competition Thursday night during the final preliminary night of competition at the 2017 Miss America competition held in Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Magoto, 18, the youngest competitor in this years' Miss America competition, wore a black Irene West bikini during the competition. Magoto, who is from Cincinnati, was crowned Miss Ohio in June and plans to study communications at Chapman University. "Beauty Unedited" is Magoto's platform during the competition as she advocates for a positive self-images as she pushes against the altering of photos.  Some of her favorite hashtags include #selfie, #nofilter and #flawless. The finals of the Miss America pageant are Sunday night.
